Brake disc resurfacing

J&S servis in Statenice offers professional turning of front brake discs directly on the vehicle using specialised MAD equipment, without the need to remove the discs from the wheel hubs.

This technology allows the discs to be machined in their actual mounting position and, if technical conditions are met, helps to remove uneven braking surfaces and reduce the runout of the disc and hub assembly.

Inspection before turning

Before starting work, we carry out:

• Measuring wheel hub runout with a dial gauge
• Checking the runout and thickness of the brake disc
• Assessment of the technical condition of the wheel and its suitability for machining
• Inspection of damage, wear and minimum permissible disc thickness after machining

The service also includes measuring the boiling point of the brake fluid.

Terms and Conditions

We only turn front brake discs.

We do not machine carbon-ceramic, drilled or grooved brake discs.

We perform turning only if the design of the brake system, the technical condition of the disc, the technological conditions of the manufacturer and the possibilities of the equipment used allow it.

For electric and hybrid vehicles, we assess the possibility of machining individually according to the specific model, vehicle design and manufacturer's service regulations.

Part of the repair is the replacement of brake pads with new ones, corresponding to the specific vehicle and brake system.

The price of turning

1 front brake disc: from 1 815 Kč including VAT (from 1 500 Kč excluding VAT).

Both front brake discs: from 3 630 Kč including VAT (from 3 000 Kč excluding VAT).

Brake pads and work associated with their replacement are billed separately.
